Is the invitation of Jesus another letdown?
One day, one of our young daughters found a flyer on the street. It was for a beauty salon and was so intriguing that she took it to school the next day — neither she nor her class knew how to read yet.
“Look!” she showed a classmate. “What do you think it’s for?”
“That?” said the other little girl. “I know. That’s an invitation.”
“An invitation?”
“Yep, to a fashion show in Paris.”
“What? No way! Seriously?” answered our daughter.
One question was all her friend needed.
She took off: “Cross my heart. What’s more, it’s not just any fashion show. They take you by train from Madrid to Paris, and you get to see amazing scenery.”
