For the longest time, I was just searching.
As a photographer, I moved through different styles and spaces; portraits, events, street, lifestyle trying to find where I truly fit. I loved the act of creating, but I hadn’t found the thing that made me feel alive. I wasn’t just looking for a niche. I was looking for a voice.
Eventually, I found fashion.
But not the polished, safe, overdone kind. I was drawn to fashion that felt risky. Fashion that made people uncomfortable. Fashion that made people look twice. The kind of beauty that comes with grit, emotion, and storytelling. The kind that doesn’t follow trends it breaks them.
Why Fashion?
As I explored deeper, one thing became clear: in Nigeria, fashion and beauty photography are often boxed in. There’s talent no doubt. But where are the photographers pushing boundaries? Where are the concepts that make you pause and wonder?
Where’s the madness?
