I Dress Like a “Slut” and a “Disgrace” and Most of My Followers Are Women
I have been called a slut.
A whore.
A fucking disgrace.
And not by men in sleazy DMs, by women. By women who claim to be feminists, by women who think they’re protecting other women, by women who apparently believe that my choice of lingerie, heels, and dresses is some kind of betrayal.
It’s almost funny, almost, because when I look at my Instagram analytics, 35% of my followers are women aged 25–34 and another 38% are women aged 35–44. That means the majority of my audience, the people double-tapping my photos, are women in the prime of their careers, relationships, and social lives.
So what does that say?
What does it say that the same demographic some claim I’m “hurting” are the ones consuming my content the most? And how, exactly, am I impacting women’s rights just by dressing the way I want?
It started with dressing for sex
I’m not going to rewrite history and pretend this started as some pure, feminist reclamation of the body. No, it started because I liked turning men and women on.
